About the workshop

Two days of theory and guided practice, with a tool
you will reach for every week after.

This two-day, CEU-approved workshop introduces Block Logic, a practical approach to myofascial release using a cork therapy block. The course pairs theory with guided hands-on practice, so what you learn in the room is ready to use in your treatment plans on Monday.

You will build a working knowledge of fascial anatomy and its impact on movement, posture and pain, learn to identify fascial restrictions, and see how a cork therapy block becomes a precise tool for targeted MFR. Designed with clinical relevance in mind, it gives you strategies that improve therapeutic outcomes, widen your treatment options, reduce strain on your hands, and extend your career.

What you will learn

Understand fascia and the principles of myofascial release
Identify key anatomical regions and the conditions commonly affected by fascial restrictions
Explain the principles of how a cork therapy block achieves effective MFR
Apply cork therapy block techniques to achieve MFR in clinical settings
Apply self-care techniques that reduce wear and tear on the practitioner and extend career longevity
Teach clients the proper use of a cork therapy block for at-home care
Integrate cork therapy block MFR into treatment plans, either added to an existing treatment or delivered as a full one hour treatment on its own

Inside the room

Small, hands-on, and capped at 16.

Every therapist gets real guided practice, on the table and on the floor, with Shelly moving through the room. That is the whole reason the seat count stays low.

Your instructor

“Every release has two patients: the client you treat, and you.”

Shelly Rhoades, RMT, built the Block Logic Method across more than 30 years of clinical practice. She tested tool after tool looking for something that could do deep, lasting fascial work without wearing her own hands down. Cork won. She teaches the way she practises, with clinical reasoning first and technique second.

Questions

Answered before you ask.

I have never done block work. Is this for me?

That is the perfect place to start. The training is built for all levels and we work from the ground up, at a pace that respects the tissue and respects you. You will leave with practical tools you can use right away, not theory you will forget.

Do I need to bring my own cork block?

No. A custom sized cork therapy block is included in your tuition and it is yours to keep.

How hands-on is it, really?

Very. Theory is taught live, then you practise every technique with guidance. Seats are capped at 16 so nobody watches from the back of the room.

What credits do I receive?

11.5 CEUs, MTAS approved. Your certificate is issued within 48 hours of the workshop.

Who is this designed for?

Licensed massage therapists, physiotherapists, chiropractors and manual or athletic therapists who want a fascia-conscious technique that protects their hands while it deepens their work.

I am travelling in. What should I know?

Maidstone sits on Highway 16 between Lloydminster and North Battleford, with parking on site. Both days run 9:00am to 5:00pm, so most therapists in the region drive in for the weekend. Full venue and entrance details are emailed to you the night before.

What if my plans change?

You have a full refund up to October 10, 2026. After that your registration transfers to a future cohort, so your investment is never lost.

16 seats. One weekend. One tool you will keep using.

Two days of hands-on learning in Maidstone, 11.5 CEUs, and a cork therapy block you take home. Space is limited to keep the room genuinely hands-on.
